# /remove

## Remove Command

### Overview

The `/remove` command revokes a specified user or role’s access to the current ticket channel.

### Usage

```
/remove [user:@user] [role:@role]
```

* **user** *(optional user mention)*: The user to remove.
* **role** *(optional role mention)*: The role to remove.

*(Similar to `/add`, you can remove either a user or a role—Or you may also provide both)*

### Description

* **Remove Access**: Removes a participant or role from the ticket channel so they can no longer view or respond to it.
* **Privacy**: Ensures only relevant members remain in the conversation if participants no longer need access.

### When to Use It

* If the ticket no longer requires input from a certain user or role.
* When a user’s access was mistakenly granted.

### Permissions

* Usually staff or the original ticket creator (if configured) can remove participants.
* Bot needs `Manage Channels` to update channel permissions.

### Examples

```
/remove user:@JohnDoe
```

Removes John Doe’s access.

```
/remove role:@SeniorSupport
```

Removes the “SeniorSupport” role from the ticket.
